Inventory And Replenishment Manager (Melbourne)

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Replenishment Manager to join our Retail Merchandise team. Reporting to the Planning Inventory Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory flow and availability across our retail network. You will lead a high‑performing team and drive best‑practice replenishment strategies to maximise stock availability, sales performance, and inventory efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely replenishment across all locations (DC to stores, suppliers to DC/stores)
- Deliver key inventory KPIs including stock availability, stock turns, and inventory value targets
- Develop and maintain replenishment and allocation models by category, supplier, and store
- Manage promotional stock allocation based on forecast demand
- Monitor supplier and DC performance (DIFOT, outstanding orders)
- Manage obsolete and excess stock to agreed targets
- Continuously improve replenishment parameters and stock optimisation strategies
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Merchandise, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Stores, and Suppliers
- Align inventory flow with operational capacity and financial objectives
- Lead, coach and develop a team of 4+ direct reports
- Build capability and foster a high‑performance, values‑driven culture
- Provide strong stakeholder engagement and influence across the business
- Champion a protected working setting and promote a culture of zero harm Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory/replenishment management within retail or a similar environment
- Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with multiple ERP systems (e.g., Pronto)
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong commercial mindset with a focus on sales, margin and inventory outcomes
- Proactive leader with the ability to develop and mentor teams Desirable
