The Opportunity We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to help drive Bridgeford’s continued growth across Sydney and Melbourne. This role is ideal for someone with a technical background who enjoys building trusted client relationships and turning opportunities into long‑term partnerships. You may come from mechanical engineering, building services, sustainability, decarbonisation, energy efficiency, building automation or another complementary engineering background. This is not a transactional sales role. It’s about understanding client challenges, identifying practical solutions, and helping organisations move toward achievable Net Zero outcomes. You’ll be selling across a meaningful service offering — not a single product — with the support of a strong technical team behind you. What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and manage robust relationships with new and existing clients
- Identify opportunities across decarbonisation, energy efficiency and engineering services
- Develop and convert new business opportunities across key sectors
- Work closely with technical teams to shape practical client solutions
- Lead proposal development, capability presentations and tender submissions
- Support account growth and long‑term client partnerships
- Help shape sales strategy and contribute to Bridgeford’s broader growth plans
- Represent Bridgeford at industry events, conferences and client meetings What You’ll Bring
- Background in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Sustainability, Energy Efficiency, Decarbonisation or similar
- Experience in a client‑facing sales, business development or consulting role
- Strong understanding of building systems and engineering solutions
- Ability to build trust and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Commercial mindset with a relationship‑first approach
- Confidence working across multiple stakeholders and project types Experience in Net Zero, electrification, energy efficiency or building performance is highly regarded.
