Technical Trainer, Accounting & Business Advisory (Melbourne)

About the team The Private Business and Family Advisory team create value and improve the way our clients work by providing advice such as asset protection, business performance, business reporting, accounting and taxation management, wealth protection and generational change management. About the role The Technical Trainer, Accounting & Business Advisory Learning Programs is a specialist role within PBFA that requires you to leverage your expertise as a practitioner to support the design, development and delivery of the division's learning programs. Reporting to the Learning & Development Senior Manager, this role will focus on upskilling and advancing our junior team members (4 years' experience) through supporting the design, development and delivery of learning solutions and the provision of on-the-job support. This role is predominantly an in‑office position to provide learning support. Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver technical training programs, aligned to firm standards and capability frameworks.
- Translate complex accounting and advisory concepts into practical, engaging learning materials and workshops.
- Partner with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts and the Learning & Development team to identify capability gaps and training priorities.
- Provide on‑the‑job technical support and coaching to junior staff to embed learning and build practical competence.
- Maintain and continuously improve technical training content to reflect legislative changes, technical updates and best practice.
- Support the evaluation of learning effectiveness through feedback, assessment outcomes and stakeholder input. Who we're after
- Related tertiary qualifications in accounting and current experience in a qualified environment.
- Strong technical knowledge with CA or CPA qualification.
