- Deliver purposeful, research-informed learning using Ivanhoe's Instructional Model — Warm Up, New Learning, Dive In and Reflect
- Teach English with a strong focus on student growth, explicit teaching, deep learning and academic care
- Embed Universal Practices such as explicit learning intentions, formative assessment, differentiation and student goal setting
- Create calm, inclusive classrooms that support curiosity, confidence, collaboration and high expectations
- Build strong relationships with students and support wellbeing through responsive, professional and student-centred practice
- Contribute to House life, co-curricular programs and wider campus initiatives with visibility and enthusiasm

- A recognised teaching qualification such as a Bachelor of Education, or an undergraduate degree with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education or Master of Education
- Relevant experience teaching English in a secondary school setting, with evidence of strong teaching practice and student growth
- Eligibility to apply for Victorian Institute of Teaching registration, including evidence of supervised teaching practice completed as part of a university-based teaching qualification
- Senior Years International Baccalaureate knowledge and experience would be highly advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families and colleagues
