Grant Thornton Australia is a leading independently-owned accounting, advisory and consulting firm. Join our fast‑growing Internal Audit team as a Senior Associate and work on high‑profile client assignments. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end‑to‑end client internal audit and risk consulting engagements under the oversight of a manager.
- Understand clients’ risk environments and apply knowledge to deliver practical solutions.
- Manage client interactions, oversee junior resources and coach junior staff during engagements.
- Administer project activities such as billing and WIP management.
- Collaborate with managers to develop high‑quality reports and engagement deliverables.
- Apply critical thinking and logical reasoning to commercial problem solving.
- Present outcomes to clients and internal stakeholders to influence decision‑making. Skills & Experience
- CA, CIA or another relevant professional qualification is ideal but not required; candidates pursuing qualifications are welcome.
- At least 3 years of Internal Audit experience in‑house or in skilled services, with a passion for Public Sector, Higher Education, Infrastructure or For‑Purpose organisations.
- Practical experience in business risk, business process reviews, internal audit or internal controls.
- Ability to design and prepare audit documentation.
- Ability to engage with clients and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong team‑working skills and experience in managing and developing junior staff.
- Well‑developed listening and questioning techniques, supported by strong analytical skills.
- Curious, keen to learn from others, able to work independently and maintain a continuous improvement mindset. Salary: $80,000 to $110,000 per annum inclusive of superannuation. Benefits
