As a Case Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting injured workers on their journey back to work. Your focus will be on delivering person-centered case management while ensuring that compensation entitlements are handled appropriately. Strong communication and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders are essential for achieving sustainable outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Claims Assessment**: Evaluate and determine liability for various claims, ensuring thorough analysis and adherence to guidelines.
**Claims Review Preparation**: Prepare for and participate in claims reviews, showcasing your strategic approach and effective results in managing cases.
**Return to Work Support**: Facilitate the return-to-work process for injured workers, employing person-centered strategies to address chronic health issues and promote well-being.
**Compensation Management**: Ensure timely and appropriate compensation entitlements are disbursed, maintaining compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in assessing claims and determining liability.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience in case management, particularly with a focus on person-centered approaches.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while ensuring quality outcomes.
- Experience as a Case Manager with the VIC Workers Compensation Scheme, ideally in Return to Work or Long Term Case Management
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Decision making, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a team environment.
