Landscape Gardener Tuff Group – Heatherton, Melbourne VIC Position: FULL-TIME x 4 people Salary: $76,515 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation About the business Tuff Group is a national leader in the design and construction of internationally certified high-performing Synthetic Sports Solutions across Australia. We utilise innovative design and simulated systems to deliver quality and environmentally streamlined sporting solutions to sporting organisations and governments on budget and on time. We are expanding and we are seeking skilled and experienced Landscape Gardeners to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have qualification in Landscaping/Horticulture and/or at least 3 years of relevant experience is preferred. They will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: Key Responsibilities:
· Assess client/business requirements for synthetic turf installation
· Design layout plans detailing turf type, dimensions, and site components
· Account for drainage, underlay, and edging in planning
· Clear and prepare installation site, removing grass, weeds, or debris
· Level and grade site for stability and drainage
· Install base materials (e.g., crushed rock or sand)
· Cut, join, and secure synthetic turf rolls to design specifications
· Apply infill materials where required for blade support and cushioning
· Advise clients on turf care and cleaning techniques
· Conduct routine maintenance checks
· Repair or replace damaged turf sections
· Discuss project timelines, goals, and budgets with clients
· Provide regular project updates and manage client concerns
· Educate clients on perks and limitations of synthetic turf
· Coordinate with suppliers for material procurement
· Manage timelines to meet project deadlines
· Follow safety regulations and installation standards in Victoria
· Ensure turf meets performance criteria for specific uses (e.g., sports fields, schools)
· Implement environmentally responsible installation practices where possible Skills and Experience:
· Certificate IV in Landscape Gardening or at least 3 years’ relevant work experience
· Strong plant and design knowledge, including synthetic turf systems
· Proficiency with landscape tools and equipment
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
