Placed.au is looking for a full-time Travel Agency Manager for our client in Mernda, Victoria. This role is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of the travel agency, planning, organising, directing, controlling, and coordinating the sales and operations of the agency, ensuring exceptional customer service and maximising business profitability. Job Description
- Oversee daily operations of the travel agency to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Handle budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting to maintain profitability and financial health.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with airlines, hotels, and tour operators to secure the best deals for clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and exclusive offers.
- Provide expert travel advice and assist clients in booking flights, accommodation, and tour packages.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and enhance brand visibility.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
- Monitor staff performance, provide training, and offer constructive feedback to enhance team efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, travel regulations, and emerging destinations to keep the agency competitive. Qualifications / Attributes
- Must hold a Diploma in Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field, or at least three (3) years of relevant work experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
- Must possess at least one (1) year of relevant work experience as a Travel Agency Manager or in a similar travel or tourism management role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage travel agency operations including budgeting, financial reporting, and supplier negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of travel booking systems, airline, accommodation, and tour package products.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve complaints and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
