- Market competitive salary, bonus & company EV We’re seeking a driven and passionate Business Development Manager to help expand our market presence and build lasting partnerships. The Role You’ll play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, developing client relationships, and shaping the future of our business with a focus on generating revenue by developing market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification and closing sales. You will reach sales targets by identifying, developing and managing relationships and business growth with new customers in the builder and merchants' market. Reporting to the State Sales Manager VIC & SA, your main responsibilities will be:
- Collaborate with the State Sales Manager to execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Identify and close key new business opportunities.
- Initiate the sales process by scheduling appointments, making initial presentations and understanding account requirements.
- Close sales by building rapport with potential accounts, explaining product and service capabilities, overcoming objections and preparing contracts.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape and potential areas of growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences to enhance our brand presence and network with potential customers. About You
- 3+ years sales experience gained in the building, construction or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of the residential building market in the designated territory.
- Demonstrated ability to hunt for new sales opportunities.
- Skilled at managing complex business relationships.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to self-manage your workload.
- Highly motivated to achieve OKR targets with a high standard of accountability.
- Highly effective presentation and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an adaptable communication style.
- Ability to travel intrastate on a regular basis.
