We are currently seeking an experienced Fleet Controller to join our Transport. Your primary role is to complete effective and efficient planning and scheduling of operations in our Fleet Division.
Reporting to WA Transport Supervisor, the position includes the following responsibilities:
- Daily operational control of SCT Fleet, Semi, Rigid & sub
- contractors.
- Daily scheduling and planning to ensure efficient PUD deliveries to customers.
- Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Controlling driver rosters.
- Monitoring and supporting activities of drivers to ensure company and customer standards are met.
- Recording daily activities.
- Reconciliation of subcontractor payments.
- Assisting with KPI recording.
- Preparing run sheets, manifests and consignments.
- Conducting regular driver toolbox meetings.
**Desired Skills and Experience**: **Desired Skills and Experience**
- Previous Fleet Controller experience in the transport industry preferably in a FMCG warehouse or transit terminal environment
- Sound knowledge of the Perth metropolitan area.
- The ability to ensure OHS requirements are met.
- The ability to work to within Safety, Quality Systems and procedures.
- A sound knowledge of the transport industry regulations and OHS requirements including Chain of Responsibility & Load Restraint.
- SAP knowledge/experience would be advantageous.
- The ability to work unsupervised with a high level of self-motivation.
- Customer service focuses with excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of business
- Strong organisational skills with strong computer literacy.
- Willingness to “get the job done” without compromising service to customers.
- Positive time management skills.
- Acute attention to detail.
- A proven ability to motivate and manage staff.
