Production Supervisor (Forrestfield)

We are a fast-growing ready-meal food manufacturing business supplying high-quality prepared meals to supermarkets and customers across WA.

With strong growth and increasing production volumes, we are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our day-to-day kitchen and food production operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing workplace and takes pride in running an efficient, compliant and organised production floor.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for the operational management of food production, ensuring:

- Production schedules are completed accurately and on time
- Meals are produced to consistent quality and portion standards
- HACCP and food safety requirements are strictly followed
- Staff are supervised, trained and working efficiently
- Labour is used effectively within approved allocations
- Stock levels are controlled and wastage minimised

This role requires strong floor presence and leadership. You will work closely with kitchen and production staff and step into production duties when required.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Production Management**
- Oversee daily production and ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule
- Coordinate production planning based on forecasts and confirmed orders
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks
- Improve workflow and operational efficiency

**Food Safety & HACCP**
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP and food safety legislation
- Maintain temperature logs, batch records and traceability documentation
- Ensure correct labelling, date coding and product standards
- Prepare for internal and external audits

**Workplace Health & Safety**
- Enforce WHS compliance and safe equipment operation
- Promote safe work practices and proper PPE use
- Report and investigate hazards or incidents

**Team Leadership**
- Supervise kitchen and production staff during shifts
- Train and onboard new team members
- Monitor performance and address issues proactively
- Maintain a positive and accountable team culture

**Inventory & Stock Control**
- Order ingredients and production supplies
- Monitor supplier pricing and report issues
- Conduct stocktakes and investigate variances
- Ensure FIFO and proper storage practices

**What We’re Looking For**
- Experience in food manufacturing or commercial kitchen operations
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
- Experience supervising or leading production teams
- Organised, structured and detail-oriented
- Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and leadership ability
