While you will be Employed by SCT, this role will be based in our CUB Distribution Centre.
CUB is one of the most iconic companies in Australia with history dating back to our Cascade Brewery in 1832 and Victoria Brewery in 1854.
They brew some of Australia’s most famous beers, including Victoria Bitter, Carlton Draught, Outstanding Northern, Pure Blonde, Carlton Dry, and Crown Lager, as well as craft beers including Balter, 4 Pines and Pirate Life. Our stable of brands also includes global and premium beers such as Corona, Budweiser and Hoegaarden.
The Distribution Centre Manager is responsible for the successful, efficient, safe, and profitable management of the Asahi warehouse and account in its entirety.
The role will include formulating strategy, managing performance, ensuring compliance, driving a team mentality and standards-based environment, whilst always promoting our company values. This role will play an integral part in the success of the Perth branch and retaining the long-term partnership SCT has had with Asahi.
**Work Health & Safety**
- Ensure compliance with all SCT/Asahi Company policies and procedures.
- Create & drive a culture committed to injury prevention, WHS & Environmental compliance.
- End to end management of all property maintenance related to the facility.
- Ensure team are trained and competent in making the appropriate decisions surrounding injury management and RTW plans, to reduce overall claim and cost impact on the business.
- Set challenging yet realistic goals on yearly WH&S; targets for LTI’s, LTIFR, MTI’s, MTIFR, and Incident Reporting and Investigation Compliance, that support and are in line with both State and National targets.
- Create robust and sustainable processes to ensure compliance with all site security requirements.
- Ensure all 3rd party operators and contractors are appropriately inducted.
**Customer Service/Account Management**
- Lead and develop a team that is customer centric and values the importance of exceptional internal and external customer service.
- Ensure operational processes and standards are sound to support the safe and efficient handling of SCT customer’s freight.
- Create & present structured weekly KPI meetings for SCT State Manager, SCT State Financial Controller, and Asahi State Logistics Manager.
- Ensure processes and relationships are strong with other SCT states to provide the best possible service to Asahi.
- Ensure all relevant data is recorded and maintained each week to ensure best practice and outcome for both SCT and Asahi alike.
**Quality & Continuous Improvement**
- Create & drive a standard and disciplined based team and culture.
- Able to work with unions and company delegates and support the State Manager on negotiating new Enterprise Agreements.
- Ensure all Asahi operational and customer-based processes are followed with 100% compliance.
- Ensure the warehouse (blue collar) employees performance is maintained and reviewed, continuously striving for individual and team improvement.
**Operating margins & productivity**
- Continuously review and challenge operating, expense, and ops admin costs to ensure control and targets are maintained.
- Create, review, and instill robust and sustainable processes that support our employees, drive efficiencies, and improve operating margins.
