Your Role
As the Manager of Human Resources at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring HR practices and planning are strategically aligned with the hospital's vision, strategy, and business objectives.
In collaboration with Group Human Resources and the Director of Workforce (Hospitals), you will drive the development and implementation of strategies aimed at attracting, retaining, developing, and managing a highly engaged and committed workforce (caregivers).
The Position- Develop through consultation with the Director Workforce, Hospital, Group Human Resources and senior executives a local HR Strategy aligning the function to achieve the organisation’s objectives.- Lead the development of a local HR Business Plan to execute and measure HR effectiveness.- Provide advice and leadership on engaging and supporting a culture that aligns with the organisational strategy.- Contribute as strategic partner to senior executives through active engagement in business decisions that impact on the workforce.- Liaise with Group Human Resources on the development, implementation and review of Group HR initiatives, policies and procedures.- Provide input and leadership feedback to Group HR and Employee Relations on matters for the purposes of process improvement, pursuing best practice and informing the Enterprise Bargaining process.- Provide support and coaching to senior executives on the development of effective strategies to effectively manage cultural change, caregiver performance and development, engagement, workforce planning, and any complex people matters within the hospital.- Coordinate the workforce plan for the new private hospital.
You bring proven experience as an HR Manager, showcasing strong leadership, workforce planning, and organisational development skills. You are adept at working both independently and collaboratively with key stakeholders, confidently supporting and delivering outcomes across all facets of the HR function.
Success in this role will require exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills. You will have the ability to coach, advise, and influence senior leaders while effectively executing business decisions.
