- Free daily buffet style lunch provided and free parking Make an impact at Serco As a Social Worker within the Psychological Health Services (PHS) team at Acacia Prison, you will provide psychological assessment and intervention to inmates for a broad range of presenting issues. There is a specific focus on suicide and self- harm risk assessment and crisis intervention. Psychological Health Services also provide other goal-directed, psychological interventions appropriate for a forensic population. This is a full time, permanent position based in Wooroloo, WA. You could be a great fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work; AND eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Solid understanding of evidence based practices in the assessment and intervention of different psychological and behavioural presentations
- Demonstrated experience in providing individual counselling, preferably within a correctional, welfare or similiar institutional environment
- Proven ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver psychological services and programs
- Exceptional report writing abilities, producing accurate and defensible documentation You do not need to match every listed expectation to apply for this position.
