Our services include withdrawal services; one-on-one assessment and treatment by psychologists and counsellors; group therapy; residential rehabilitation; and free education at Odyssey College. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. **Description**: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and creative clinician to work within a small residential intake team based at South Western Sydney for a fixed term. This position provides effective, comprehensive drug and alcohol/mental health assessment that is holistic and culturally competent. The successful applicant’s main role will be to; Respond to enquiries relevant to Residential Programs admissions
- Undertake a comprehensive assessment of Suitability for prospective residents for Residential Programs. Provide consultation to the team with respect to mental health Liaise with Detox Units to support prospective admissions needing a hospitalized detox. Provide harm minimization strategies Oversee progression of prospective residents from initial enquiry to intake assessment to admission. Preparation of prospective clients for admission. Address barriers to admission **Skills and Experiences**:

- **SELECTION CRITERIA**: Relevant Health related qualification. e.g. Tertiary qualification in relevant field, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology Experience assessing and supporting persons with AOD support needs, and/or Mental Health support needs and/or co-existing support needs. Demonstrable experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver coordinated support. Demonstrated experience undertaking brief and comprehensive assessment as well as initial case planning. Computer literacy including understanding of MS Office Suite and use of Client Management Systems. Demonstrable communication skills Good understanding of the principles of the Privacy Act and its practical implementation in service delivery. Knowledge of evidence-based treatment, harm minimization, care coordination and support strategies. Knowledge of and commitment to implement the principles of WHS, EEO and continuous Quality Improvement. Hold a current NSW Driver's License. Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Criminal History Check and Working With Children clearance for paid employment. Unlimited right to live and work in Australia COVID Vaccinated.
- **DESIRABLE**: Experience working within a non-government AOD treatment program.
- Experience in provision of one-to-one support for people with AOD and/or Mental Health support needs.
