Join Sauer’s Bakehouse as a Supervisor Head Baker – Morning Shift

Sauer’s Bakehouse is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Baker to lead our morning production team. This is more than a baking role — it’s a leadership opportunity for someone who embodies integrity, initiative, and the ability to inspire excellence in others.

The successful candidate will oversee the daily execution of high-quality artisan baking, guiding a dedicated team through the early hours to ensure products meet our established standards. Your ability to lead by example, make sound decisions under pressure, and communicate clearly will set the tone for the shift and shape the day’s outcomes.

As a leader, you’ll be expected to foster a culture of mutual respect, accountability, and continuous improvement. Drawing on core leadership values, you'll not only manage tasks but influence people positively — encouraging cooperation, developing junior bakers, and maintaining a calm, solutions-focused setting even when challenges arise.

Requirements: Proven experience in artisan or commercial baking (minimum 3 years) Previous leadership/supervisory experience in a bakery or kitchen setting Strong communication and time management skills Ability to motivate, train, and supervise a small team Commitment to early morning hours and a passion for baking excellence
