CASUAL RECEPTIONIST
- for very busy Medical Centre

Shifts include morning, afternoon and weekends. To also be available for other staff on sick

leave or holidays.

Must have a professional manner with valuable work ethic, time management skills with

meticulous attention to details and willingness to learn recent skills.

Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Able to work under pressure,

communicate effectively and manage a large volume of phone calls.

Key Responsibilities.

Greet patients and other callers at the practice in a courteous and effective manner.

To answer the telephone promptly and courteously.

To make appointments for patients following set procedures.

Attend to account queries if possible or refer problem to the Practice Manager.

Liaise with Specialist, Hospital staff, Pharmacist and all other visitors to the Practice in a professional manner.

Readily deal with emergencies when necessary, following set procedures.

To exercise confidentiality regarding patient care and all aspects of the practice.

Maintain reception area in a tidy and welcoming manner.

Scanning and/or filing patient correspondence, results etc.

Have a vigilant attitude to accuracy, being prepared to double check as necessary.

Work cooperatively and independently.
