Medical receptionist (Miranda)

About the role This part-time Medical Receptionist role at Southern Vein and Cosmetic Centre in Miranda, NSW offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive boutique specialist healthcare environment. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative and customer service support to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. Previous experience with Pracsoft and Medical Director software will be highly regarded. We are seeking to fill this position 2 days per week. The working days are flexible weekdays, allowing for scheduling arrangements that suit both the practice and the successful candidate. Training can be provided from the week commencing 29th June 2026 for the successful candidate, although starting date can be flexibly adjusted. Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner 2. Scheduling appointments and managing the patient booking system 3. Handling patient enquiries and providing information about the centre's services 4. Collecting patient information and maintaining accurate and confidential medical records 5. Processing payments and managing the financial aspects of the practice 6. Assisting with various administrative tasks as required 7. Collaborating with the clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience 8. Typing dictation What we're looking for 1. Previous experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry 2. A minimum of 2+ years experience in medical reception or equivalent healthcare administrative role 3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service 4. Proficiency in medical terminology and the ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information 5. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently 6. Familiarity with medical software and electronic health record systems, and particularly experience with Medical Director & Pracsoft. 7. Experience with either Medical Director or Pracsoft software is sufficient, though proficiency in both systems would be advantageous 8. A friendly, professional, and empathetic approach when interacting with patients 9. Competence & efficiency in all aspects of administrative work including paying invoices 10. Previous experience with medical dictation typing highly desired.
