- South Sydney CBD fringe, paying to $180K + super Company Background Join one of Australia’s premier meat and food companies as their Systems Accountant. You’ll sit at the intersection of Finance, IT, and Operations, owning the ERP ecosystem, driving process and technology improvements, and enabling smarter decisions across the business. The business has gone through a number of changes in the last few months, leading to a realignment of a couple of the key finance roles. Position Description Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be the key link between our financial data and operational realities. In this highly critical role, you will drive system improvements, strengthen internal controls, and ensure our ERP data supports reliable reporting and informed decision-making in a complex, fast-paced manufacturing environment. More specifically, you will:
- Own the Systems: Act as the finance owner for Pronto Xi and Microsoft Dynamics, governing master data and ensuring configurations align with accounting policies.
- Control Inventory & Costing: Oversee inventory accuracy, lead ERP-based stocktakes, and maintain robust costing models (standard/actual, yields, wastage, overheads).
- Drive Month-End Close: Manage ERP-driven month and year-end processes, including ledger rollovers and inventory cut-offs.
- Support & Enable: Act as the first line of support for ERP issues, providing training and championing best practices across the organisation.
- Continuous Improvement: Manage integrations, support upgrades, and lead finance system projects to enhance operational efficiency. What you’ll bring
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with CA/CPA qualifications
- Strong, hands-on experience with ERP systems, ideally Pronto and/or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Solid understanding of inventory accounting, manufacturing costing, and month-end close within an ERP workplace.
