ABOUT THE CHANCE Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this executive leadership role is responsible for the strategic, operational and financial performance of Civic’s Accommodation and Community service portfolios. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality, sustainable and person-centred services that are safe, compliant and aligned with Civic’s vision and strategic direction. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the General Manager will lead a geographically dispersed portfolio, providing oversight of service delivery, driving operational excellence, and ensuring strong governance, risk management and continuous improvement across all programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide strategic leadership and partner with the Executive to deliver Civic’s organisational strategy and operational plans.
- Lead and oversee Accommodation and Community services, ensuring consistent, high-quality, human-centred service delivery.
- Drive service innovation and contemporary models aligned to best practice, customer needs and sustainability.
- Maintain strong compliance with legislative, contractual and regulatory requirements, including safeguarding obligations.
- Monitor operational performance, analyse data insights and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting and ensuring long-term sustainability.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders, community partners, regulators and funding bodies.
- Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing leadership team.
- Embed strong governance, risk management and Workplace Health & Safety practices across the portfolio. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA You demonstrate strong ownership and initiative, with a clear commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. You operate effectively in dynamic environments, applying a structured and organised approach to drive priorities and achieve results. You will possess
- Extensive experience in executive, general management or senior leadership roles.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Human Services discipline.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, multi-site service portfolios and diverse teams.
- Proven ability to lead organisational change and transformation initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management and performance optimisation.
- Experience managing complex projects and delivering successful outcomes.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into insights.
