Cemetery Groundskeeper (Pasadena)

**Job Title**:Cemetery Groundskeeper

**Location**:Inner southern suburb of Adelaide

**Position Type**:Casual positions with Maxima Labour Hire. Full Time Hours Available.

**Hourly Rate**: $31ph + Super

**Responsibilities**:

- **Grounds Maintenance**: Perform routine landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, and edging to ensure the cemetery grounds are impeccably maintained.
- **Gravesite Care**:Oversee the preparation and backfilling of gravesites, ensuring they meet established standards. Assist in the placement of markers and monuments.
- **Planting and Pruning**:Maintain trees, shrubs, and flowers within the cemetery. Plant recent greenery as needed and prune existing plants to enhance the overall aesthetics.
- **Pathway Maintenance**:Keep pathways clear of debris, leaves, and snow to ensure safe and accessible passage for visitors.
- **Equipment Operation**:Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- **Crematorium**: Operate crematorium equipment and assist with services and ceremonies.
- **Collaboration**:Work closely with other cemetery staff to coordinate and execute various tasks related to events, burials, and grounds maintenance.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field.
- Current Class C Drivers License (MR License advantageous)
- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to undergo physical functional testing
- Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a respectful and peaceful environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting and manual labor.
- Sensitivity and respect for the emotional nature of the cemetery environment.
