Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing healthcare team at Mittagong Doctors. You will collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients. With each patient, you will take vital signs, discuss their symptoms, document their health history, administer medications, and provide resources and information on how to manage their medical issues at home. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of a variety of illnesses and injuries as well as a compassionate and hard‑working attitude. Key Responsibilities
- Immunisations and other injections
- Triage
- Wound management
- Chronic disease management
- ECGs
- Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance
- Assist with care plans and shared health summaries
- Assist with telehealth consultations
- Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation
- Daily co‑ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilisation, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment
- Implementing and practising infection control
- Assist with Reception and Practice Management duties Desired Qualities and Experience
- Current AHPRA registration
- Excellent communication skills
- Enjoys working in a team environment
- Working experience in an accredited General Practice setting
- A caring and collaborative approach to patient care
- A sense of urgency, compassion and professionalism
- Proven multi‑tasking, problem‑solving and time management skills
- Use of Best Practice programmes preferred
- Experience and knowledge of care plans and health assessments
- Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation Additional Requirements
- Current Police Check
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current Working with Children clearance
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate
- Immunisation Record
- Driving licences or photo ID

- Full Time Note: This is a full‑time casual position available to provide coverage during a team member’s maternity leave. The successful candidate will be required to work full‑time hours on a casual basis until the staff member returns.
