Team Leader - Precast Manufacturing (Mittagong)

Workfast is looking for a Team Leader to join our client’s team at their precast manufacturing facility in Mittagong.

- Pay rate: $35.00 p/h + OT Penalties, Weekly Allowances and Super
- Hours: Full-time hours (Permanent)
- Location: Mittagong, NSW Candidates must have proven experience managing teams of up to 15 people within a manufacturing or industrial environment. This role is based at a high-volume precast concrete site and requires a leader who is safety-obsessed, detail-oriented, and experienced in Lean methodologies. This is a permanent position for a proactive supervisor ready to drive operational excellence and maintain high quality standards.

- Proven experience managing a team of up to 15 personnel
- Strong background in manufacturing (Precast Concrete or Civil preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Capability to lead daily pre-start meetings and manage shift workflows
- High level of focus on Quality Assurance and Work Health & Safety (WHS)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to drive team accountability
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a hands-on leadership style
- Full Australian working rights and a current driver’s licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol screen What you will be doing
- Leading daily pre-start meetings to ensure the team is aligned on safety and production goals
- Supervising the casting and finishing of precast concrete products to strict specifications
- Implementing and maintaining 5S standards to ensure a clean and efficient workspace
- Managing staff performance, rostering, and daily task delegation for up to 15 people
- Ensuring all WHS protocols are strictly followed to maintain a zero-harm environment
- Identifying and implementing Lean process improvements to reduce waste and boost output
- Conducting quality checks throughout the production cycle to ensure client standards are met
- Reporting on production targets and equipment maintenance requirements to management
- Mentoring and developing junior staff and new starters on site About us
