Position Summary The successful applicant will have a passion for working with schools and young people to maximise student well‑being and engagement. This role will involve undertaking assessments and assisting schools with the process of applying for additional funding under the Program for Students with Disabilities, offering support and advice on a range of student well‑being issues and providing career development to schools. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychological services to schools, covering learning issues, cognitive issues, behavioural issues, disabilities, mental health, school and work transitions, self‑esteem, grief and loss, trauma, anger management, relationships, conflict, sexuality, and substance use.
- Collaborate with and advise other student support services team members on complex cases.
- Support teachers in the development of educational programmes, particularly for students with additional needs.
- Influence the development of teaching and learning strategies and prepare policy advice for consideration by the school network leadership team.
- Maintain sound written and verbal communication and analytical skills. Qualifications
- Graduate or post‑graduate qualification in psychology or an equivalent field.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).
- Current Australian driver’s licence.
- Working with Children Check. Classification & Location Classification: Allied Health Grade 3 Location: Inner Gippsland (based at the Moe Office) Resources & Support Access to a car (subject to availability), a laptop, an iPhone and an extensive assessment and resource library.
