Project Engineer - Civil (Trafalgar)

Project Engineer – Civil Fowlers Asphalting delivers a broad range of civil infrastructure projects throughout the wider Gippsland region for local councils, government authorities and private clients. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our expanding civil team. Based throughout Gippsland, you will work closely with the Operations Manager, Project Managers and site crews to assist in the successful delivery of a diverse range of civil construction projects. - Manage and maintain the traceability of materials, work lots and completed works
- Procurement and subcontractor management
- Quality assurance and compliance management
- Development and implementation of site management plans
- Quantity tracking and reporting to Project Managers
- Updating and managing project programs
- Support Project Managers in the planning, execution and handover of project deliverables
- Assist in the preparation of tenders and estimates
- Review project drawings, specifications and contractual documentation
- Client and stakeholder liaison
- Support and collaborate with other team members to achieve project outcomes Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Current Victorian Driver Licence
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Sound understanding of civil and pavement construction practices
- High-level verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
- Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Understanding of VicRoads and IDM standards and specifications is desirable
- Knowledge of the Gippsland region would be advantageous Software Experience Experience with the following software is desirable:
- Microsoft Project
- Microsoft Excel
- Bluebeam or similar
