Senior Analytical Electrochemist – Melbourne We are seeking a Senior Analytical Electrochemist to join our team in Melbourne. In this role, you will design, execute, and verify implantable potentiometric sensor assemblies to meet high performance and reliability standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute electrochemical verification programs for implantable potentiometric sensor assemblies, including defining experimental methods, test conditions, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and validate test apparatus and procedures (fixtures, instrumentation configurations, and measurement protocols) to assess electrical and analytical behavior.
- Characterize sensor performance and reliability through structured testing, covering response dynamics, drift, stability, selectivity and noise characteristics.
- Evaluate and improve sensor materials and manufacturing processes by identifying sensitivities and documenting build procedures for scale‑up.
- Analyze experimental datasets and produce technical documentation (results summaries, test reports) to support system requirements and electronics interface design.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to translate results into explicit performance targets and design inputs. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Degree (MSc, MEng, or PhD) in Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Robust laboratory experience in analytical and experimental techniques specifically related to electrochemical sensors.
- Deep expertise in potentiometric sensors and chemical characterization techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to approach and resolve technical problems systematically and creatively.
