Human Resources Assistant – Mulgrave, VIC This is a permanent full-time position. What you’ll be doing
- Efficiently complete daily HR functions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Aid in the end-to-end recruitment process, including talent selection, induction, onboarding, and training of new employees.
- Update and formulate recent job descriptions to align with evolving organisational needs.
- Assist overseeing processes and workflows for HRIS systems and implement changes as necessary.
- Assist in the implementation of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S;) measures.
- Administer Workcover claims and contribute to the development of return‑to‑work plans.
- Contribute to the quarterly newsletter through content creation.
- Participate in the planning of company events.
- Conduct research to develop, update, and review policies.
- Ensure compliance with current legislation. Payroll
- Learn and handle multinational payroll activities (at least half of the working time).
- Process payroll for one or more areas, like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, and the UK.
- Help facilitate the implementation and coordination of HRM software programs.
- Create, maintain and manage employee files.
- Assist with the formulation of the relevant job descriptions of relevant positions.
- Conduct research on policies and guidelines with reference to industries and market practices. What we’re looking for
- Full Australian working rights and MUST live in Australia
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field is highly regarded
- Demonstrated previous experience in HRM/Payroll related roles
- Experience using HRIS platforms is desirable but not essential, especially Employment Hero and ADP
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of HR practices and compliance
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic and diverse work setting
