Chef 24 Thai Street Restaurant & Café (Mountain Creek, QLD) Location: Mountain Creek, QLD Chef (Hospitality & Tourism) Position: Full-time (38 hours per week) Salary: $74,000
- $79,000 per annum + superannuation 24 Thai Street Restaurant & Café is a well-established Thai restaurant known for its authentic Thai cuisine and quality dining experience. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organise food preparation and cooking activities across all kitchen sections
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Thai dishes in line with established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning, including seasonal menu development and cost control
- Estimate food and labour costs and assist in maintaining budget targets
- Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation
- Oversee kitchen operations during service, ensuring timely and efficient kitchen operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Train, supervise, and support junior kitchen staff
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and minimise food wastage Skills & Requirements:
- Relevant qualification (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher, or equivalent)
- Candidates with Certificate III in Commercial Cookery will be considered with additional relevant experience
- Minimum 1
- 2 years of relevant full time work experience as a Chef
- Strong knowledge of Thai cuisine and commercial kitchen operations
- Expert level knowledge and experience in Thai cuisine preparation and cooking techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
