Outdoor Education Recreation Instructor Alexandra Headland

Sports Tuition Pty Ltd, established in 2001, delivers recreational programs for school and community groups. We are seeking qualified and experienced outdoor educators to join our team.

Role Overview

Work is available across two locations, Alexandra Headland and Moogerah Dam. Applicants may nominate one or both locations. Site‑specific roles include:

· Beach Instructors at Alexandra Headland (current Bronze Medallion required).

· Adventure Activity Instructors at both locations. Applicants must hold a Cert IV or Cert III in Outdoor Recreation or equivalent, with the capability to facilitate activities such as high ropes, canoeing, abseiling and rock climbing.

General unqualified applicants who are interested in obtaining a Cert III in Outdoor Recreation, can do so through Sports Tuition with a funded training course. Please note that there is no course cost associated with this training, however, the applicant must commit to 25 days of unpaid practical training.

Activities

Programs may include:

· Fishing in boats, tube rides, canoeing, raft building, SUP

· High, mid and low ropes, giant swing, abseiling, rock climbing, leap of faith, pamper pole, milk crate climb

· Archery games, bush craft, survival skills, body boarding, beach games and team‑building initiatives

Expedition programs may involve leading hikes and short walks and facilitating Trangia cooking. Experience is beneficial but not essential.

Minimum Requirements

· Applicants for adventure activities may apply with at least one qualification from: canoeing, high ropes, or abseiling.

· Bronze Medallion (surf)

· Coxswain Certificate (fishing & tubing)

· Current First Aid and Blue Card

Application Process

Interviews commence immediately and continue until the position is filled. Applicants with a Cert IV in Outdoor Recreation and full Monday–Friday availability are preferred.
