**The Position**
A full-time, ongoing position is available for an experienced Primary educator to join our highly skilled and successful team in 2025.
New or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Commencement date: Monday 20 January 2025.
**The School**
Billanook College is an independent, co-educational Early Learning to Year 12 school situated in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The school has an enrolment of approximately 900 students and 160 staff.
In a natural, sustainable environment Billanook College aspires to provide an accessible, uniquely caring learning community in which students confidently create and navigate their own learning pathways. We do so with respect and appreciation of diversity, equity, justice and our place in a changing world.
Our Staff are instrumental in creating and maintaining our strong, positive culture. We know that Staff perform at their best when they are encouraged by keen students within an environment of excellent behaviour. Students’ behaviour depends on many factors: a solid sense of self-worth; good positive peer-group friendships and connections; belonging at school and at home, and an awareness of their ability to succeed
- particularly outside the classroom.
A school becomes a ‘good school’ only when it has great Staff. Great Staff "make it matter" and "make the student matter".
Billanook is committed to employing Staff who are aligned with the College’s mission, vision, values and strategic direction and we work hard to ensure our recruitment and selection process is equitable, transparent, consistent and merit based.
We are a school driven by best practice and innovation. Being part of such a strong team has its rewards, not only in the quality of education provided to our students, but also in collegiate support, and personal and professional learning.
