What you will be doing & delivering As the IPM Supervisor, you will be based at our Tatura site and lead the implementation of pest and disease management programs to maximise crop health, fruit quality, and production outcomes. Using a combination of field observations, monitoring tools, and integrated control methods, the role ensures timely identification and management of pest and disease risks. Working closely with operational leaders, the IPM Supervisor delivers accurate reporting, supports program planning, and drives continuous improvement across the crop protection function to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and overall farm performance. Leadership & Team Oversight: Lead the IPM team day-to-day, coordinating people, tasks, and priorities across scouting, spraying, and grounds activities to keep operations running smoothly and safely. Agrochemical Application Management: Drive protected, compliant, and effective chemical use overseeing mixing, calibration, application quality, and adherence to spray programs and withholding periods. Crop Health Monitoring: Monitor crop health outcomes through scouting data, pest/disease trends, and field observations, ensuring timely interventions and accurate reporting. Equipment, Hygiene & Compliance: Maintain high standards for equipment readiness, hygiene practices, chemical storage, and regulatory compliance across all IPM activities. Safety & OHS Collaboration: Work closely with operational leaders and OHS teams to create a safe, high performing environment, ensuring risk controls, PPE use, and safe work procedures are followed. Planning & Program Support: Support planning and delivery of spray programs, seasonal schedules, and resource allocation to meet operational and crop protection needs. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, generate operational reports, track pest pressure, and communicate outcomes to leadership and stakeholders. Stock Control & Resource Management: Manage chemical and consumable stock levels, ensuring availability, correct storage, and accurate usage tracking. - Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or a related field.
- Chemical Users Certificate (ACUP).
- Intermediate math skills.
- Energetic, motivated, and proactive work style. Experience
- Proven experience in crop protection and safe use of hazardous substances.
- Ability to positively identify pests and diseases in crops.
- Experience in fast paced, multi-site environments.
- Strong commercial acumen supporting operational decisions.
- Solid leadership capabilities with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Analytical, collaborative, and data driven decision making.
- Detail oriented with agile work practices. Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
