- Full-Time Reporting to the Surgery Coordinator– you will work alongside our amazing vets and nurses to deliver gold standard care with compassion. - Set up, clean, disinfect, pack down and maintain all surgical areas and equipment including prep, theatre, autoclave room, imaging rooms. (cleaning is the core focus of this role)
- Contributing to the upkeep of hygiene and cleanliness within the hospital treatment areas.
- Ensure the thorough cleaning, sterilisation and safe handling of surgical instruments in accordance to infection control protocols and industry standards
- Ensure surgical areas are fully restocked and maintained to support efficient clinical operations
- Complete tasks on the Nurse Assistant Checklist and Infection Control Checklists in a timely and proficient manner
- Occasionally assist with patient restraint for procedures (under supervision) as required
- Understand and adhere to BVSC’s governance and WHS policies to ensure tasks are completed in accordance with BVSC’s high standards of care and safety.
- Working 38 hours per week worked over 5 days: Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm About You We are looking for someone who enjoys being physically active and can work efficiently both independently and within a team. You should be proactive, detail-focused, and able to juggle multiple tasks.

- Must demonstrate resilience and the ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-pressure environment.
- A solid understanding of infection control, workplace health and safety principles, and secure manual handling
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Must be able to complete physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Flexibility and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks
- Must have Certificate II or III Animal Studies.
