Through strong collaboration with multiple custodial sites, we play a vital role in supporting rehabilitation by building skills, confidence and meaningful pathways for reintegration into the community. Learning delivery is adapted to the custodial context, with paper-based delivery and controlled classroom settings. Our educators work directly with individuals, often navigating diverse learning needs. Location: Fulham Correctional Centre Role Type: Full time ongoing Remuneration: starting $94,772.16 inclusive of 12% super (dependent on qualifications) About The Role As Teacher Horticulture you will deliver high‑quality vocational education and training across horticulture programs, supporting students to develop practical, job‑ready skills aligned to industry standards. The role involves classroom and practical delivery, assessment, student support, and contribution to continuous improvement and industry engagement. You will be:
- Developing and delivering engaging, customised learning experiences under Certificate II in Horticulture & Certificate III in Horticulture
- Supporting learners to build confidence and competence in literacy and numeracy
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress, assessments, and compliance documentation
- Creating a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
- Ensuring compliance with national VET quality standards and BKI policies
- Providing a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learner needs

- Completed Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Relevant experience in teaching horticulture
- Experience delivering training in adult education or vocational settings (beneficial)
- Effective communication skills for working in correctional settings
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to teach independently
