- Part-time Permanent Department: CAFT (Southern Catchment) Paediatric Podiatrist Make a lasting impact on children’s health and development Part-time 0.6 FTE | Based at Parkdale with additional sites as required Join a growing allied health team where your expertise in paediatric podiatry will help children and families achieve better mobility, confidence, independence and quality of life. As part of our Child, Adult & Family Therapies program, you’ll work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality podiatry services to children and young people across a range of funded programs including NDIS and community health. About the role As a Paediatric Podiatrist, you will provide evidence-based assessment, intervention, education and care planning for children and young people. You will work closely with families, carers, educators and other health professionals to deliver person-centred, goal-directed care. This role includes:
- Paediatric podiatry assessment and treatment
- Developing therapy plans and interventions tailored to individual needs
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary allied health team
- Supporting children with developmental, physical and complex needs
- Delivering education and self-management strategies to families and carers
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and client records
- Supervising students and supporting allied health assistants where required
- Working closely with in a multi-disciplinary team
- Role across both community health and NDIS What you’ll bring Essential
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Podiatry
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience as a paediatric podiatrist
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, client-centred care Desirable
- Experience working within community health settings
- Experience supporting NDIS participants
- Additional professional development, training or demonstrated interest in paediatric podiatry
