Picker/packer (Braeside)

As a Warehouse Storeman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for picking and packing stock, organising inventory, and supporting team efforts to maintain an efficient warehouse setting. This role is hands-on, focusing on the physical aspects of warehousing, with mínimal reliance on systems.

**Objectives & Key Accountabilities**:

- Pick and pack stock efficiently and accurately for outgoing orders.
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Stock shelves and organise inventory to maintain an orderly warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks with care and precision.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Stocktake and inventory checks to ensure everything is up to date.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Valid forklift license is essential.
- Proven experience as a storeman or in a similar warehouse role.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items as required.
- Basic understanding of inventory processes.
- Previous warehouse and logistics experience.
- Manual Handling proficient.
- Own transport and drivers’ license.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $49,952.74
- $65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 10
- 40 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Braeside, VIC 3195: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
