The Role & Your Impact As a Process Engineer, your focus will be to support Packing by leading data-driven initiatives to improve product quality and reduce costs. You will achieve this by streamlining processes, simplifying workflows, and eliminating waste. The role entails work covering the full project lifecycle: from data collection and walking the floor to the planning, prioritisation, and implementation of projects. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, and suppliers to ensure all improvements maintain strong GMP principles. Success in this role requires sound project justification and rigorous follow-through to assess project effectiveness and achieved outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean principles, Six Sigma tools and 5S methodology to analyse production data, identify trends, and implement projects that achieve the highest return on investment.
- Productivity & Waste Reduction: Lower the cost of production by identifying and eliminating waste in labour, materials, and processes.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert for packing lines, assisting in resolving complex issues and supporting the introduction of new packaging and equipment.
- Quality & Compliance: Lead root cause analysis investigations and ensure all processes and SOPs comply with strict GMP standards and Ego’s validation practices.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to ensure project goals are realistic, practical, and delivered within budget. - Analytical Skills: Proven ability to monitor and interpret production data to identify performance trends and process improvements.

- Safety Leadership: A strong commitment to health and safety, ensuring all work practices and machinery operations are performed safely.
- Sharing Knowledge: Comfortable training others and explaining process changes to the team.
- Digital Tools: Experience using or setting up basic systems to track production data.
- Quality Standards: A good understanding of validation and quality processes in a GMP setting.
