Casual Barista (Balook)

**Work Schedule**:

- Regular weekend work (Saturday and Sunday)
- Additional shifts available Friday to Monday during summer and school holiday periods

**Position Overview**: We are seeking a friendly and motivated Casual Barista to join our team at the [Name] National Park Café. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a relaxed natural environment, providing great coffee and warm customer service to visitors exploring the park.

As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, preparing high-quality beverages, and supporting smooth café operations during both quiet and busy periods.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso coffee, cold drinks, and light meals
- Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and professional attitude
- Operate the POS system and handle cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café, coffee machine, and service areas
- Assist with restocking supplies and ensuring food safety standards are met
- Work efficiently during peak visitor times, especially on weekends and holidays
- Support the team in creating a positive experience that reflects the values of the national park

**Requirements**:

- Availability to work weekends, with flexibility for extended shifts during summer and school holidays
- Previous barista or café experience (minimum 6 months preferred)
- Solid communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible workplace

**Desirable**:

- Coffee art skills and passion for quality beverages
- Food Handling or Barista certification
- Experience working in tourism, hospitality, or outdoor settings
