- Full time (12 months) Salary: $100,783 – $105,349 based on level of experience, plus super. About The Role The Senior Tenancy and Risk Worker supports Aboriginal people across Inner Gippsland to sustain safe and stable housing. The role provides culturally appropriate, strengths-based case management to those at risk of tenancy loss due to challenges such as financial stress, mental health, substance use, or community issues. Working closely with clients, families, and services, the position delivers responsive, holistic support and flexible brokerage to help secure and maintain long‑term housing. About You You are a compassionate and proactive practitioner with the ability to support tenants facing complex challenges and keep them safely housed. You bring strong case management skills, the confidence to advocate and negotiate on behalf of clients, and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders, community services, and housing providers. With a sound understanding of tenancy processes and relevant legislation, you can provide clear advice, prepare documentation, and guide clients through systems such as VCAT. You are organised, detail‑oriented, and committed to delivering culturally safe, responsive support while maintaining accurate records and working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for the community. Requirements
- Previous work experience in the tenancy, residential or housing services and/or experience working with Aboriginal children, families and communities in statutory services.
- Minimum requirement of a Diploma of Community Services or other appropriate tertiary qualification(s) and/or experience relevant to this position.
- Valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain), and a Victorian Driver Licence.
