About the Role We are seeking a Systems Analyst to support the ongoing development and operation of unphish, an AI-powered platform designed to analyse, prioritise, and optimise system-driven detection and response to digital threats such as phishing, scams, and brand impersonation. As we transition into unphish v2 the role has evolved to focus on system oversight, optimisation, and continuous improvement of platform functionality. This role is responsible for analysing workflows, improving system performance, and ensuring the platform delivers accurate, scalable outcomes across multiple clients and threat environments. This position is primarily focused on analysing and improving system processes, workflows, and automation, rather than conducting manual investigations. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, analyse, and evaluate existing system workflows, processes, and operational practices within the unphish platform to ensure efficiency and scalability
- Evaluate and analyse outputs from AI-powered detection systems to improve system logic, prioritisation, and decision-making
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend optimal system functionality, workflow improvements, and automation opportunities
- Translate business and operational requirements into functional specifications for system enhancements and integrations
- Use data and process modelling techniques to define and improve system workflows and functional behaviour
- Support the design, implementation, and optimisation of system changes and new platform features
- Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure system quality, accuracy, and performance
- Monitor system performance, data flows, and case lifecycle metrics to identify trends and optimisation opportunities
- Act as a central reference point between operations, product, and development teams, supporting system-related decision making
- Create and maintain structured documentation, including system processes, workflows, and user guidance materials
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of an AI-led operating model, where analysts manage and refine system outputs Operational Support (Secondary):
- Provide system-level support in exception scenarios where automated processes require validation, ensuring system integrity and consistency of outputs Skills & Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- At least 3 years work experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role within ICT, data, or platform environments
- Strong ability to analyse processes, identify inefficiencies, and design scalable system improvements
- Experience working with data analysis tools or platforms
- Experience with requirements gathering, functional documentation, and UAT processes
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Ability to translate operational and business needs into structured system solutions
- Robust attention to detail and ability to manage structured workflows and documentation Desirable
- Exposure to phishing, scam, or digital risk environments
- Experience with domain, hosting, or platform-based abuse reporting processes
- Familiarity with AI-driven systems, automation workflows, or platform-based products
- Experience working with APIs, integrations, or data pipelines About You You are analytical, structured, and comfortable working at the intersection of systems, data, and platform functionality.
