Plant Operator Open Spaces (Moss Vale)

Location Moss Vale, New South Wales Position Plant Operator – Open Spaces CBD (Permanent, Full‑time, 38 hours per week) Salary $65,281.84 – $75,868.52 per annum + 12% superannuation. Overview As our Plant Operator, you will report to the Team Leader Open Spaces CBD and deliver high‑quality open‑space maintenance through the safe and productive operation of plant, machinery and equipment, including street sweepers, garbage trucks, trucks and trailers. You will contribute to the presentation and amenity of Council’s parks, reserves, sports grounds, roadside areas, CBD and infrastructure assets, ensuring that works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with Council’s service standards and procedures. - Demonstrated experience in the safe operation of medium to large mowing and open‑space maintenance plant and equipment
- Proven ability to follow work schedules and operate effectively within a team environment
- Basic competency in using mobile devices and digital job‑management systems
- Sound understanding of safe work practices, risk management and WHS obligations
- Effective communication skills with team members and the public
- Current MR Driver’s Licence and White Card Other Requirements
- Complete immunisation record for Hepatitis A, B and Tetanus, or willingness to obtain it at Council’s expense prior to commencement
- Participation in on‑call roster and overtime where applicable
