Grounds Person (Moss Vale)

Oak Tree Group specializes in providing affordable and secure independent living communities for seniors throughout Australia. Our focus is on building small villages that combine residential and recreational facilities in an environment where residents can form new friendships, be part of a secure community and still live independently. About the role: You will report to the Village Manager and will be required to provide assistance to the village to create a welcoming, caring, and safe village community. This role is part-time working 3 days per week (18 hours). The successful candidate will be responsible for: Grounds / Maintenance Role
- Ground maintenance including mowing, edging, weeding, trimming/pruning.
- Seasonal spraying, top dressing and fertilizing of lawns (as required).
- General tidying of the village (whipper snipping, hedging, weed control)
- Watering of lawns and gardens as required.
- Disposal of garden waste.
- Waste management for the village (including garbage and recycle collection).
- Cleaning of waste disposal bins. Village Maintenance
- Support the planned maintenance schedule for the village i.e pressure cleaning, gutter cleaning, garden mulching as required.
- General repairs and maintenance as required. Other Duties
- Set up and reconfiguration of the Community Centre to support Oak Tree events.
- Other such irregular duties as may be required to assist the Village Manager in the operations, marketing and sales activities of the village.
- Ensure personal protective equipment is used when required Minimum role requirement: To be considered for this role you will have:
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance (essential)
- Formal trade qualifications or practical work experience
- Ability to operate light equipment
- Ability to operate tools required for role
- Current driver’s License
