Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities and mental health needs? Deeper Care, a leading NDIS provider in Campbelltown and Western Sydney, seeks dedicated Mental Health/Disability Support Partners to join our growing team.
**About the Role**: As a Support Partner, you will work alongside clients, providing essential assistance, encouragement, and support tailored to everyone’s needs. This role is ideal for someone highly motivated, compassionate, and dedicated to empowering those who need it most.
**Selection Criteria**
- Experience working with individuals with mental illness/disability, particularly in a supported residential setting.
- Demonstrate understanding of issues related to mental illness and/or disabilities and their impact on individuals, families, and communities.
- Experience working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of Person-Centred Practice, Restrictive Practices, positive behaviour support, and active support
- Demonstrate ability to identify and understand challenges faced by people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Competency with computer tasks and administrative skills, including report preparation and record-keeping.
- Understanding of theoretical approaches that support recovery in people with mental ill-health, as well as approaches to support people with disabilities, including autism.
- Have outstanding communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities
**Locations**:
- Campbelltown
- Mount Druitt
- must be available for a 4-hour shift twice a week (ongoing)
**Requirements**:
- Minimum Certificate ||| in Disability work or Community Service Work
- Drivers Licence (CP2 minimum)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children’s Check
- Police Check
- NDIS Workers Check or willing to obtain if successful
**Pay Award**: Social, community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (MA000100)
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: From $31.76 per year
**Benefits**:
