Teacher Tutor (Early Years Kinder to Year 6) (Mount Waverley)

Reading Rock Stars is seeking an experienced tutor to deliver their reading, writing, and spelling programs to children aged 3-12. The position requires teaching small groups and one-on-one, with classes held in the evenings after school and on Saturdays during the school term.

**Desired qualifications**:

- A graduate diploma in teaching or early childhood education.
- Prior teaching experience.
- Developing homework tasks.
- Providing reports on student progress.
- Maintaining a child-safe teaching setting.

This is an onsite role located in Mount Waverley, VIC 3149.

**The skills we teach during our sessions include**: **Early Years (3 and 4-year-old Kinder)**:

- Phonics
- Multi-sensory hands-on activities and crafts promoting fine motor development.
- Movement and brain-break exercises.
- Literacy and numeracy games.
- Little Learners Love Literacy (Milo Monkey).
- Handwriting
- Victorian Cursive and Standard Print.
- Skills to blend and segment (Early reading and spelling skills).

**Primary Years (Prep to Year 6)**:

- Reading and comprehension.
- Spelling, vocabulary, and grammar
- in line with the Victorian School Curriculum.
- Phonics.
- Handwriting
- Victorian Cursive and Standard Print.
- Creative writing
- narrative, persuasive, and informative.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
