What You Will Do & What You Will Bring You will be working in multidisciplinary teams with Electronic, Mechanical and Systems Engineers to develop products for our clients in the medical sector. As a Senior Software Engineer , you will be responsible for: Managing and delivering successful outcomes for allocated projects Leading small teams and/or contributing to project needs; Managing and tracking of allocated work for self and the teams you lead; The execution of software development lifecycle plans including:
- Requirements analysis and design (detailed and high level)
- Cross functional alignment and collaboration
- Delivery of design (coding, debugging, documentation, unit tests, integration, testing, verification)
- Reviews (design, code, test)
- Design ownership of components and subsystems Compliance of Invetech’s quality process and relevant product regulatory standards; Mentoring and guiding junior team members; Implementation of and support for Agile Methodologies such as Scrum; Active support for Continuous Improvement Initiatives. In addition, we require the following skills and experience:
- Degree-qualified in Software Engineering (or related) or equivalent experience, with strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment to support project leadership.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and deliver clear, accurate status reporting with minimal oversight.
- Logical, structured thinker who aligns with best practice, company processes, and demonstrates reliable delivery against estimates.
- Proficient in software development, including languages such as C, C++ or C#/.Net, with scripting capability (e.g. Python, Lua) and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools.
- Experience in embedded systems, hardware interfacing, and software lifecycle practices including configuration management, continuous integration, and use of project/defect/requirements management tools. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position.
