Our team supports participants to build confidence, develop skills and connect with meaningful employment and training opportunities The role We are seeking full- time passionate and culturally aware Job Mentors to join our team in the locations of ............. As a job mentor, you will walk alongside our First Nations participants, offering tailored mentoring, guidance, and advocacy throughout their employment journey from finding work to maintaining work. Key Responsibilities As a Job Mentor at Bamara, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting individuals in their professional development. Working within an innovative and dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the career growth of our participants and their communities.
- Build strong, respectful relationshipswith First Nations participants
- Provide individualised mentoring and coaching to support work readiness
- Assist clients in identifying career goals and developing job plans
- Prepare and assist participants to keep employment once gained.
- Connect participantswith suitable training, employment, and community support services
- Liaise with employers to support sustainable employment outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and comply with Workforce Australia contractual obligations Desired Skills and Experience About you
- Proven experience or the ability tomentor or coach individuals in a qualified setting
- Ability to build rapport with First Nations participants
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to support First Nations participants
- Abilityto work collaborativelyin a team and independentlyto manage a caseload
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Empathy and patience when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge oflocal industry-specific job requirements and career pathways is an advantage
- The ability to regularly build employer partnerships by marketing participant strengths, skills, and workplace readiness
- Must have WWCC and be able to satisfactorilypass a police check
