Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking an Early Childhood Casual Assistant (Qualified) to join the team at Curry Kids Early Learning Centre on a permanent full-time basis. What We Offer
- Full Time- Stream A- Division 2- Section 2 ( Children's Services & Early Childhood Education)- Level ASS1YQY1 to ASS1YQY3- $66,000 to $72,000 per annum (depending on experience)+ Superannuation.
- 5 weeks of Annual Leave
- Remote Area Housing Assistance ($60 per week for Renting / $90 per week for Homeowner)
- Rostered Days Off (RDOs)
- Personal (Sick) Leave.
- Flexible Work Arrangement available ( FWA) for the first 12 months:7:00 AM
- 3:30 PM (30- minute Break) Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering early childhood education programs in line with frameworks and standards.
- Support children’s development, wellbeing, and daily routines
- Maintain a protected, clean, and engaging environment.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Monitor and contribute to children’s learning and development records.
- Ensure all children are supervised at all times with a strong focus on safety.
- Assist with general duties including cleaning, laundry, and administrative tasks. What We’re Looking For: Council is seeking a candidate who:
- Has a genuine interest in early childhood education and care
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Engages positively with children and families in a respectful and supportive manner
- Has an understanding of child development and early learning frameworks Mandatory Requirements:
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
