Overview
Expressions of interest are being sought for temporary and relieving Senior Guidance Officer opportunities across the North Queensland Region.
This role may be filled for periods of up to six months; extensions will not exceed 12 months.

Role Summary
This continuous applicant pool is open to candidates who meet the mandatory requirements outlined in the attached role description. The successful applicant will coordinate and support the delivery of high-quality guidance and counselling services in schools across the region, provide clinical and technical supervision, lead career development, and contribute to strategic initiatives supporting student wellbeing, inclusion and engagement.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and support the delivery of guidance and counselling services across schools in consultation with Principals
Provide clinical and technical supervision to Guidance Officers, including psychoeducational, counselling and behaviour support practices
Deliver direct guidance services to students where required and support complex case management
Lead professional development, induction and mentoring programs for Guidance Officers
Build and maintain effective multi‑agency partnerships, including participation in SCAN teams and regional support networks

Has highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
Is confident supporting complex student wellbeing and learning needs
Works collaboratively with school leaders and multidisciplinary teams
