**About the role**

In this position you will work as part of a cohesive team, undertaking general catering duties for the provision of high quality catering services.

Daily duties include but are not limited to:

- Assists in the preparation, cooking, dispatching and serving of all types of meals for residents, visitors and functions, ensuring a high standard of food and service whilst observing safety, quality and hygiene standards.
- Undertakes general kitchen duties.
- Follow Food Safety and HACCP standards and Southern Cross Care policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in collaboration with the Chef / Cook.
- Accurately maintains relevant records related to the catering services including the monitoring and recording of temperatures.

**About you**

- Experience in the preparation, delivery and serving of meals.
- Good communication skills and a positive level of English literacy.
- Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
- Able to build strong internal relationships and contribute to the team to foster positive working relationships.
- Barista experience preferred, but not essential.
