About the role Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing geotechnical risk across the underground operation, blending daily underground inspections, geotechnical analysis, modelling, and technical support to mine planning and production teams.
Key responsibilities include: Conducting daily underground inspections and managing geotechnical hazards Collecting geotechnical data (mapping, core logging, etc) Evaluating underground workings and recommending rehabilitation approaches Completing numerical modelling and analysing mine sequencing Reviewing designs for stability and recommending ground support requirements Interpreting seismic data and structural information Supporting internal and external geotechnical audits and QA/QC processes Partnering closely with Mining Operations, Engineering and MTS teams About you You hold tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering or Geology.
You will have previous geomechanics experience (mining or civil), technical capability and confidence working in energetic operational environments.
You communicate clearly with operational teams and enjoy hands‐on fieldwork.
