Senior Engineer Civil Cloncurry

Overview

We are offering a permanent Senior Engineer (Civil) role within Transport Main Roads (TMR)'s Delivery and Operations team, responsible for project management, technical support, and contract administration across multiple road infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Provide support and advice on the planning and design process to ensure project outcomes, value for money, and best practice.

Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary for design and construction.

Determine engineering requirements, including materials, critical components, and systems, supporting project management and delivery.

Plan, assign, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff, fostering teamwork and a positive attitude toward organisational objectives.

Maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders regarding transport infrastructure delivery.

Undertake contract management and administration of road infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Washington Accord accredited four‐year degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.

Registration as a Registered Skilled Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory; assessment for RPEQ may also be considered.

Current holder of a Class C driver licence.

Eligible to work in Australia.

Must disclose any previous serious discipline action taken against them.

Subject to a criminal history check due to access to sensitive data.
